Remote Play Connection Settings

This setting is available only on PS3™ systems that are equipped with the wireless LAN feature.

Set the operation of a PS3™ system remotely from a PSP™ system to allow content displayed on the PS3™ system to be displayed and operated by the PSP™ system.

1.

Select (Network Settings) under (Settings) in the home menu.

Select [Remote Play Connection Settings]. This screen will not be displayed if using a PS3™ system that is not equipped with the wireless LAN feature.

Enter the SSID.
Set the SSID to be used when connecting from the PSP™ system. You can enter any SSID that you like.

4.

Select the security setting.
Only [WPA-PSK (AES)] can be selected for the Remote Play feature.

Enter the WPA key.
Set the WPA key to be used when connecting from the PSP™ system. You can enter any key that you like. The key is displayed as a series of asterisks. The encryption key you set will be required when entering network settings for the PSP™ system. Make a note of your key.

6.

Save your settings.

Hints

  • Use the SSID and WPA information you entered to connect the PSP™ system to the PS3™ system in Infrastructure Mode. For details, refer to the user's guide for the PSP™ system.
  • A PSP™ system with system software version 3.00 or later is required to use the Remote Play feature.
