Using the wallet

To use this feature, you may be required to update the system software.


Use the wallet to purchase products that are for sale in (PlayStation®Store). One wallet is created for each PlayStation®Network master account. You must add funds to the wallet before making purchases.

Adding funds

You can add funds to the wallet using options such as a credit card or a PlayStation®Network Card. Funding methods, currency and limits to wallet funding level vary depending on the country or region of residence. For details, contact the technical support line for your region.

Select (Account Management) under (PlayStation®Network) in the home menu.

Select (Transaction Management).

Select [Add Funds].*
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

To exchange a promotion code, select (Redeem Codes) in step 2, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Setting to automatically add funds

For active subscriptions associated with your account, you can have funds automatically added from your card to the wallet if there are insufficient funds to pay for subscription renewals. This feature may not be available in your country or region. For details, contact the technical support line for your region.

Select (Account Management) under (PlayStation®Network) in the home menu.

Select (Transaction Management).

Select [Automatic Funding].
On the screen that is displayed, select [On]. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

Hints

Wallet usage by sub account holders

A sub account holder cannot create a wallet but can use the wallet for the associated master account to pay for products and services. A master account holder can set monthly spending limits for associated sub accounts. To set the spending limits, select (Sub Account Management) under (PlayStation®Network) > (Account Management).
