The Screen Lock feature lets you set a passcode activated screen lock. The screen lock makes it necessary to enter the passcode when turning on your system or when recovering from the standby mode. This prevents unauthorised use by a third party.
Setting your passcode
First, you must set a password called a passcode. You must enter the passcode to clear the screen lock.
Select [Security] > [Screen Lock], and set the four digit number on the screen that appears.
If you forget your passcode, you must restore your system. Handle your passcode with care. Do not forget it and do not let third parties obtain it.
Confirm passcode when unlocking
If you select this checkbox to set a checkmark, entering the passcode will be required when turning on your system or when recovering from the standby mode.
Change Passcode
Enter the current passcode, and then enter the new passcode to change your passcode. For verification, you must enter the new passcode twice.
