Saved data from PlayStation® format software

Saved data from PlayStation® format software is saved on internal memory cards created on the storage media (Memory Stick™ media or system storage) that contains the software.

About internal memory cards

Two internal memory cards (for MEMORY CARD slots 1 and 2) are created automatically when you start PlayStation® format software that was downloaded from PlayStation®Store. The memory cards are saved using the same name as the PlayStation® format software.

Hint

The maximum amount of saved data that can be stored in one internal memory card is 15 blocks. The number of blocks required to save data varies depending on the software in use.

Copying saved data from a PSP™ system to a PS3™ system

If the game can be played on both the PSP™ system and the PS3™ system, you can use saved data from the PSP™ system on a PS3™ system to play the game at home, for example. You can also use saved data from the PS3™ system on a PSP™ system to continue playing the game away from home.

1.

Connect the PSP™ system to the PS3™ system using a USB cable.
You must have Memory Stick™ media inserted in the system if you want to copy data that is saved on the Memory Stick™ media.

From the PSP™ system's home menu, select (USB Connection) under (Settings).

3.

From the PS3™ system's home menu, select (Game) > (Memory Card Utility (PS / PS2)) > (PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable)).

4.

Select the icon of the saved data to be copied from the (Internal Memory Card (PS)) where the data is saved, and then press the triangle button.
