PS Store Paying for purchases in PlayStation®Store

You can purchase content or services from PlayStation®Store using funds that you previously added to the wallet for your Sony Entertainment Network account. One wallet is provided for each master account.

Funding methods, currency, and funding limits, for example, vary depending on the country or region of residence. Contact customer support in your country or region for details.

Adding funds to your wallet

You can add funds to your wallet using means such as a credit card, PlayStation™Network card or a promotion code.
Select (Options) > [Transaction Management] > [Add Funds] and follow the screens.

When using a PlayStation™Network card or a promotion code, you can add funds to your wallet by selecting (Options) > [Redeem Codes] and following the on-screen instructions.

Automatically adding funds for subscriptions to your wallet

When you purchase a subscription*, [Automatically Add Funds] will be turned on. When the subscription comes up for automatic renewal or when you pay for a pre-order, if there are insufficient funds in the wallet then funds are added to the wallet.
This setting can be changed in (Options) > [Transaction Management] > [Automatic Funding Settings].

*
Subscriptions are services that you pay for regularly and use for a predetermined period. When a subscription expires, an extension for another subscription period is purchased automatically.
  • If there are insufficient funds in the wallet to purchase a subscription, either the amount lacking for the subscription or the minimum charge amount from the credit card for the wallet, whichever is greater, is added to the wallet for the account.
  • You can check the services to which you are subscribed by selecting (Options) > [Services List].

Wallet usage by sub account holders

A sub account holder cannot add funds to a wallet, but can use the wallet for the associated master account to pay for products and services.
A master account holder can set monthly spending limits for associated sub accounts. For details, see "Sub Account Management".
