Enable Turning On This System from Network
Set a checkmark in the checkbox to enable turning on the system from the network. You can use a PS Vita system's 
(Video) application, a compatible application on a smartphone, and other methods to remotely turn on your system.
For details on using this feature with a PS Vita system, see "Watching videos and viewing photos by transferring them from your PS Vita system".
- Your system will not turn on if it is completely turned off. Put your system into standby mode to use this feature.
- Connect your system and the other device to the same network.
- Also set a checkmark in the
(Settings) > [System] > [Media Transfer Settings] > [Allow Media Transfer from Other Devices] checkbox so that you can remotely play content using your system once you have remotely turned it on.
