Adjust these settings to reduce the number of times the UMD™ media is read and to increase the data reading speed by storing frequently used data in the PSP™ system memory.

If [On] is set, you may not be able to communicate properly in adhoc mode with another PSP™ system. In that case, change the setting to [Off].
