Method of Charging Using the USB Connector
Using a commercially available USB cable, you can connect the PSP™ system to external devices such as the following:
- A PC with an operating system that supports the USB mass storage class, such as Windows® XP or Mac OS X
- A device that allows a USB connection to the PSP™ system, such as an HDD recorder or the PS3™ system

Connect the USB cable to the system and to the device.

Turn on the PSP™ system and select (Settings) > (USB Connection).
The POWER indicator will turn orange and charging will begin.

Hints
- When charging the PSP™ system using the USB connector, the [Auto Sleep] feature under
(Settings) >
(Power Save Settings) may not work.
- If a PSP™ system is not recognized by an external USB device, you may be able to correct this by setting [USB Charge] to [Off] under
(Settings) >
(System Settings).
