Changing your account settings    

Select (My Account) from (Tools) on the Skype menu screen, and then select the item that you want to adjust. For information on each setting, see the corresponding explanation below.

  Skype Credit

Skype Credit allows you to purchase a number of different products and services from Skype. Skype Credit can be used to place SkypeOut calls or purchase a SkypeIn subscription. You must purchase Skype Credit in advance to use paid features.

Buy Skype Credit Connect to the Internet and display the Skype Web site.

This option is displayed when you have not purchased Skype Credit or if your Skype Credit has expired. You can buy Skype Credit from the Skype Web site.
XX.XX Buy More Connect to the Internet and display the Skype Web site.

This option is displayed if your Skype Credit falls below one unit of currency or if your Skype Credit will expire within seven days. You can buy additional Skype Credit from the Skype Web site. Skype Credit can be purchased in other currencies.
XX.XX XXX Display your Skype Credit balance.

You can change the currency setting from the Skype Web site.

  Skype Voicemail

This option sets Skype Voicemail (a paid feature).

Learn More

Connect to the Internet and display the Skype Web site. This option is displayed after your Skype Voicemail subscription expires or when you are not using Skype Voicemail.

Extend Voicemail Subscription

Extend your voicemail contract. Connect to the Internet and display the Skype Web site. You can pay for the Skype Voicemail subscription from the Skype Web site.

Hint

Seven days before your Skype Voicemail subscription expires, the icon next to the menu item will change from to and the expiration date will be displayed.

Send Unanswered Calls After

Set the time period until voicemail answering begins.

Off Do not forward to voicemail.
5 seconds Start answering after 5 seconds.
10 seconds Start answering after 10 seconds.
20 seconds Start answering after 20 seconds.
Send Rejected Calls to Voicemail

Set whether to transfer the caller to voicemail when [Reject] is selected during an incoming call.

Off Do not play the voicemail greeting.
On Play the voicemail greeting.
Send to Voicemail While Communicating

Set whether to transfer the caller to voicemail when there is an incoming call from another caller while you are talking.

Off Do not play the voicemail greeting.
On Play the voicemail greeting.
Voicemail Greeting

Set the message to play when the voicemail greeting begins.

Original This option is displayed when a pre-recorded voicemail greeting will  be played.
Custom This option is displayed when you record the voicemail greeting yourself.

If you select [Voicemail Greeting], you can record the answer message yourself. To record, an audio input device that supports Skype for the PSP™ system must be connected.

Select [Voicemail Greeting].
The following screen is displayed.

Select (Record), record the message, and then select (Stop).

Select [Enter].
The [Voicemail Greeting] settings screen reappears.

Hint

To reset [Voicemail Greeting] from [Custom] to [Original], select (Reset) on the recording screen.

  SkypeIn

This item confirms or configures SkypeIn (paid feature) details.

Learn More Connect to the Internet and display the Skype Web site.

This option is displayed after your SkypeIn subscription expires or when you are not using SkypeIn.
Expires YYYY/MM/DD Display the SkypeIn expiration date.

This option is displayed when your SkypeIn subscription expires within seven days.
+XXXXXXXX Display your own SkypeIn number.

This option is displayed when you are using SkypeIn.

  Call Forwarding

Sets call forwarding when you are away (this is a paid-for feature if you decide to forward to a traditional phone).

Check the [Forward Calls When I'm Not on Skype] checkbox, and then select the text box.

Select the transfer destination for when you are away.
You can select [Phone Number] or [Skype Name].

Enter the phone number or Skype Name, and then select [OK].

Hint

Skype Credit is required to transfer calls to [Phone Number] (standard (landline or mobile) phone).

  Go to My Account Page

Connects to the Internet and displays the Skype Web site. At this time, you are signed out of Skype.
