When you cannot connect to PlayStation™Network

When using PlayStation™Network at the office or other locations with shared networks, a firewall or other security measures might prevent you from connecting to PlayStation™Network. If this occurs, the following reference information might help you make a connection.
With PlayStation™Network, you connect with a PlayStation™Network server via the Internet or connect directly with other PS Vita systems and PS TV systems. The port numbers used to connect with the PlayStation™Network servers via the Internet are:

  • TCP: 80, 443, 465, 993, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080
  • UDP: 3478, 3479

At other times, for example when competing with other players in an online game, you connect directly with other PS Vita systems and PS TV systems. A different port number is used each time you connect.

Connections might be prevented by the security measures provided by a router, your Internet service provider or your mobile network operator. In addition to the information provided here, consult the manuals for your network devices and the documentation provided by your Internet service provider and your mobile network operator.
