Subscribing to PlayStation®Plus
PlayStation®Plus is a membership service for PlayStation™Network.
As a PlayStation®Plus member, you can play specific content without restrictions on the number of times or duration you play, join online multiplayer games, and enjoy other special features. You can also automatically back up saved data for games to online storage.
You can subscribe to PlayStation®Plus by selecting (PlayStation®Store) from the content area, and then purchasing a PlayStation®Plus subscription. The subscription service membership is automatically renewed at the end of the subscription period. For details on making payments at PlayStation®Store, see "Account Information".
When the subscription process is complete, the (PlayStation®Plus) icon appears on your profile screen. The icon also appears on features available exclusively for PlayStation®Plus members, and on content from PlayStation®Store.
- Features offered by PlayStation®Plus vary by country and region. For details, refer to the website for your country or region.
- If you have an account with a PlayStation®Plus subscription on your PS3™ system or PS Vita system and you have linked that account to the PS4™ system, you will automatically have that PlayStation®Plus subscription on your PS4™ system.
- If a PS4™ system is activated as your primary PS4™ system, other users of that system will also have access to certain benefits. For details, see "Activate as Your Primary PS4".
- To cancel automatic renewal of your PlayStation®Plus subscription, select the service under (Settings) > [PlayStation™Network/Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Services List], and then select [Cancel Automatic Renewal].
Using online storage
You can store the saved data from games you have played on your PS4™ system to the PlayStation™Network server. You can also download the saved data from online storage to another PS4™ system. For details, see "Saved Data in System Storage".
